bov spring interchangability
Hi guys, I was really stupid when I bought this vortech bypass valve for superchargers. I welded teh flange to my greddy fmic on my fc already.
The bypass valve is open a little at idle and opens even more off throttle. I used the snap ring pliers and opened it up and saw the spring and all.
I was thinking of buying a higher pressure spring from Tial and putting it back together so it acts like a normal bov.
What do you guys think? Anyone have measurements on these springs to make sure it fits.
Sorry guys, I know this is lame, but I just got laid off from my job. If I can get a higher pressure spring to fit, and just modify this vortech unit, I can save money for other stuff I need for my project.
ANyone have measurement specs on these springs? I want to make sure it fits the spring seat on my vortech unit

Is the spring static or progressive-rate?
As long as the Spring Rate : Length ratio is the same as the other one (of course diameter), there shouldn't be any problem.
Long to short: Dude, a spring's a spring and as long as it'll fit, stuff it in there, Just go SO stiff that there's not enough vac, when you shift, to pull it.
