BOV / Compressor Surge Question

Okay...

Well I have a T-62 and I'm going stand alone real soon. I decided that my intercooler (small npr) and bov (greddy type-s) was no longer suitable for the kind of power I wanted. So I purchased a new PTE mid size FMIC.

I was looking for an HKS SSQV BOV but, a friend of mine happened to have a brand new HKS racing bov (50mm) with flange for $200 (good deal!). So I bought it from him. Well now I sit here wondering if that was a wise choice.

Okay this BOV is made to handle the extreme amounts pressure and airflow volume that is associated with the high boost / horsepower applications of 3.0 bar (43.44psi) and 800+ horsepower.

1. Will I get compressor surge with huge bov at 18 lbs (pump gas 93 octane)?
2. And will it work fine at 25-28 lbs (high boost, race gas)?
3. Or am I better off just getting a HKS SSQV BOV?

Thanks,
Alex

Isn't there some adjustability for the spring?
