BOV choice

I need help making a decision. I purchased a 35R kit and would like your comments or experience regarding the Tial and Greddy Type R BOV. Having yet to install the kit, I assume I’ll probably be running between 10 and 15 psi most of the time and maybe 17 psi at the dyno. I have searched and read if I go with the Tial to use the 7 lb spring for 14” of vac. I have also read that the Tial likes at least 15 psi. Does this mean it will not operate properly at less than 15 psi? I noted only one issue associated with the Greddy Type R., I believe it was spring related. Anyway, your thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks everybody

tial by far the best i have seen. The O-ring inside the type R seems to crack/pops off at high boost.

I would go with the tial. Quality piece of equipment. When I was at nopi, I saw the Turbonetics Solara with twin Tial 50's. That should tell ya something. Good luck with the decision.

Everyone I've talked to has pointed me to the Tial. I'm in the market for some ne BOV, and that's what i've come up with.

I recently got a Tial BOV and am getting ready to install it in my TII. I haven't used it yet but it is one of the best looking parts I have ever seen. The fit and finish is first rate!!!! I do have one problem though. I don't have the "rotary friendly" spring and I don't know where to get one. Can anyone help me there?? Thanks in advance. But Tial gets my vote as well.

I run a Tial BOV and Tial wastegate. The Tail BOV sounds GREAT! They are American made too and probably one of the best made (most reliable) out there.

Did your BOV come with the correct spring or did you have to order one. When you say it sounds great, it just sounds like the Apex'i or Blitz BOV doesn't it? I haven't had the chance to hear one yet. I'm going to contact Tial for the spring, but I didn't know if there was a shop that any of you deal with that can get the spring for me as well. You know what will make you sick though? I got the BOV, flange, and V-band clamp all brand new in the box for $90. Gotta love people who are hard up for cash sometimes.

Generally I've found that most people are more interested in the sound a bov makes than anything else. But you'll find that the people who care more about performance and longevity of their components going with a Tial. Simply it can outflow every other BOV on the market. From what I've heard it's fairly quiet. But I like having components that work consistently, not components that sound cool, and are prone to failing risking compressor surge.

Couldn't have said it better myself Steiner. I want something that will be able to stand up to the abuse I'm going to put it through. That's why I now have a Tial BOV.

I have the Tial...works great at 8-15psi (as high as I've gone so far). Sounds good and not obnoxious. I vote Tial.
