BOV acting up
ok i have an old school blitz BOV on my FC and last year in november when i took it off it was working fine
now after gutting the cat and running a precat it wouldnt go off at all. also the idle is at 1500 RPM and i cant adjust it which leads me to belive that it is leaking air.
after i noticed it wasnt working i was watching the piston as i was reving up the car and reliesing it the piston would barily move so i hit it with the penitrating oil and workinged at it till it did go off lie it used to
but now it kinda just goes off a tiny little bit and shutters the piston actually bounces in and out prolly as the air is bouncing off the turbo fins
also what leads me to belive that its leaking air is that when i sprayed the piston with the oil. the oil didnt sit on it it got sucked in also if i poped the vacume line off the BOV and did cause a real vacume leak nothing changed the idle didnt change what so ever.
you think the my BOV some how develiped a leak while it sat over the winter in a pile with the rest of the parts i took off?
any ideas on what else it could be
PS it didnt matter what i did with the adj screw i could take it all the way out and it wouldnt change a thing..

Sounds like you are right to me. Try adjusting your idle with the BOV vacuum hose plugged. If that works you know you are pulling vacuum through the BOV

Throw that piece of **** away.
The piston ***** sideways in the bore, and it jams.
You can take it apart and find multiple gouges in the bore because of this.
