Ive always used mazda gaskets and just tightened evenly then torqued to spec. You have to make sure the orings dont fall or move when you put it on though. Helps to have 2 sets of hands.

Check your intercooler piping and hoses. those usually blow on my dads car.

How much is it leaking? How many psi are you getting it to?

Reset your boost controller.

Well I can't get it to pass 15 psi with the turbo and with the pressure test it will not go above 10 psi. I tried resetting the boost controller but it's still doing the same thing. Not sure though if I'm doing it right. I have a manual turbo xs boost contoller high performance.

Ok guys another update:

I ran the car with wastegate only (no BC) and the car only made 7 psi. I thought that was weird since I was able to make 10 psi with the compressor. So I took the wastegate off and to my surprise I was able to move the valve with only one thumb. When I took apart the wastegate I could compress the spring almost all the way compressed with only one hand. It was a 13 psi spring from Tial (green spring). Is it safe to assume this is my problem after all?
I'm leaning towards yes. I will be changing out the spring tomorrow or Monday.

Ok so I ran with a new spring and the car does feel way more responsive now and was able to hit 18 psi. Now I have another problem.

My tune around 3500 to 4000 rpm is really rich to 10 afr then goes back to around 12 afr and the leans out at around 5100 to 6000 rpm maybe 13 my map looks so ridiculous right now don't know what to do next.

You need to get a bigger fuel system and tune your car. At that boost level, under peak torque (6k) and those AFR's you're in serious danger of blowing that engine.

I thought you said it still had a boost leak? If it seems like you have a boost leak near the LIM and you already replaced the gasket, then maybe someone didn't get the secondary injectors sealed?

How much more could I really need for 17 psi? I thought maybe the 4x1000cc injector and surge tank bosch 044 fuel pump setup would be enough for that. Maybe you're right though. I will look into that and I did replace the LIM for another one. So after this change we'll see if the old LIM in fact was bad. Keep you guys posted and to all thanks for the help.

your car is obviously making good power.
You simply need more fuel.

You think so...

Well let me try and fit some 1600 for the secondaries and see what happens.

You can always check your fuel pressure too. Make sure it's not losing pressure in the higher rpms. What are your duty cycles? Have you tried adding more fuel to the map?

Set your base fuel pressure to 50psi and see if it helps.

Hey does it make sense...that with the intake leaks my tune wouldn't richen up after staging but now that everything is fixed when my secondaries kick in it goes down to 11.2 afrs?
