Blown Trailing Coil!!!!
Blown Trailing Coil!!!!
Measure ohm across trailing coil. Open!! Measured across Leading coil and 15ohm (Shitty ohm meter).
Manual States 1ohm.
What could have caused this??
I have a haltech installed and it seemed to work fine (Only ran 40km) and then no tach.
Something obvious went wrong but I have not clue. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ian

Just found out for some reason the trailing coil does not fire anymore so thats the reason why the tach does not work.
Can't figure out why the coil does not work/fire..................
haltech is correctly set in ignition.......

Anyhow the coils measure below 1ohm. This is when you pull the black cover off and measure the connectors underneath with the coil removed from the car.The constant charge is set at 5ms. Another post I read suggest 4.5ms which I was using previous and altered it back to 5ms. Not sure why there is two separate suggestions. I also tried a different map and symptons are still there.
Reading around someone suggested grounded problems. Not sure what direction I will be taking next to sort this out. THere is 12v going to the coil etc etc.......
Thanks ted..............
