big and small twins

My friend asked me a question that seems like an interesting idea but i'm not sure if it would work and if someone has already done it. He asked me if it would be possible to have a twin turbo set up with one small turbo and one large turbo. The smaller one would spool up faster for more torque and the larger one would give you more top end power. The answer to why this wouldnt work if there is one could be staring me in the face and i just havent realized it yet, but I thought I'd ask you guys since most of you seem to know your ****.

Thanks
Jim

absolutely not, im 14. I'm not sure if I would want to try this 'experiment" on mine when i get one though. Theres also alot of custom fabricating that would have to go into it so im not sure how much it would cost. Probably alot.

yes and no turbo fd.two of the same size would be proper cuz u could run them nonsequentially with a single boost controller.

but no u could not run a to4e and a t78 at both 10lbs a boost.

but if a cfm chart, this is an example so no one please get smart.
a t04e at 10lbs psi=400cfm
a t78 at 4=400cfm
but u would need seperate wastegates with springs to equal out in pressure.and twon different boost controllers.

so in another words it is pointless

14 and tippsy? Guess now would'nt be a great time for that History homework. But you could play some Gran Turismo to see how much worse you can drive than type when your shitfaced. Compare lap times from when your sober, it's scary.

well im guessing that twint78 knows more about turbocharging than I do so if he says its pointless it probably is. (I also dont know what a cfm chart is.) HAHA yeah playing 007 on nintendo is really fun when ur messed up. I dont think this setup would work very well because if u had a big turbo like a GT35/40 or T78/T88 or something like that and you had set up for top end power having a turbo like a To4E or maybe an RX6 would realy be kindof dangerous to be working along with the larger turbo once the larger on got spooled up.
