That's way too big. That's meant for an engine that displaces about four to five times as much as your engine.

Think of it this way - that thing would be barely useable on a 454.

I dont know why you guys think its so big. Based on the pic the compressor wheel only seems to be around 60mm on the inducer. Thats not big at all.

And just because it came on a large displacement engine doesnt really mean much. Many of the large frame turbos people run on 13b's were originally designed for diesel. Sure a Cummins engine is much larger, but its turning 1/3 the rpms and doesnt make much hp. The housings are pretty large but if needed those can be easily and cheaply replaced.

From what I could find it has a .95 a/r hot side which within the norm for a rotary. However I dont have any specs on the compressor side.

.95 hot side will spool just fine, but how are you going to fit that thing in the engine bay?

it spins the opposite direction.... just because its a .95 doesnt mean itll spool. keep in mind that .95 is a ratio... Its a T5 or bigger backside.. i can tell you what will happen with it.. BDC and tony tried it on his car.. takes too long to spool, bogs all day. didnt make good boost till 3rd gear. yes 3rd gear. on a large street port.

I dont but they do, his screen name is BDC, and tony's is 87GTR.. just shoot em an email and ask em..
I know it was off a diesel (Borg Warner/Switzer) and the backside looked just like that, its still a T4 footprint but the housing is physically larger (more volume)

it was a Schwitzer s300. Pretty big, but I think I remember somebody saying the spooling problems were more a manifold design flaw rather than too big of a turbo. I don't know tho... Do you remember what mani they were using J?

No aaron the S300 he currently uses on his hbp and it works well..(very similar to a T66) that the was the final product of testing all the turbos they were looking at. there was one previous before the S300 and after the s200.
