Well of course, It's kind of hard though when the moron you drop the stuff off to get powdercoated says he can't and won't take it apart because he is afraid to break something. I'm just going to do it myself this weekend. What a dumbass.

the TB, is a PITA to get the linkage back in the right order so pay attention, take lots of notes or pics.

not that bad, once you see how it has to work...Japanese JigSaw puzzle

Very nice, except that ssautochrome manifold kind of scares me. I heard a lot of crap about it. Let us know how it works out for you.

Ok, here goes to answer some questions. I got the TB apart DUB and it was a pain in the ***!! Crazy japanese, i took it apart, took notes, then couldn't decipher the code I wrote for myself. No big deal, it's back together. The manifold is actually an identical copy of the SS that I made here at school, and tig'd myself. It it much better quality with thicker walls, and better welds. I was going to go with a large street port, but decided on the half bridge. Should make around 600rwhp at 25psi I hope. We shall see, the motor is going in tomorrow so I'll have more pics. Take it easy gents.

just wondering why you would copy that design if you had the skills and equipment to make your own? It just seems like that is not the most efficient manifold design to me..

I didn't chrome it, I polished it when it was apart. We got this new $800 stainless polishing wheel at school, and my instructor wanted to see how it worked. He polished it. Too answer your question Ron, it was basically time constraints. I only had 2 weeks to get this done for my project. I would have designed a new one from scratch, but I could've taken a week alone just to come up with a good design. I will start making my own stuff once I get out of school in 3 months for fun. Maybe I'll come up with something better than all the rest.

Hi there Mike,

Just wondering what size the blade was on the turbo. Turbo looks very similar in size to the one i'm using on my 12AT.

Cheers

Yeah, I had to adjust the height of my rad a lot to make sure it wasn't too low when I made my v-mount...

Ok, to answer some questions. Dub: I will be cutting the endtanks and shaping them so they will be much smoother to the incoming air.

RotorBoy and Ron: Which v-mount do you guys have? Just curious, I made this myself, and took careful measurements to make sure I would not scrape it. I just fabbed up the duct, and it actually is the lowest point of the car, right about even with the front bumper. Thanks for the thought though, it was my major concern as well. I set the car down today and there is plenty of room so I won't scrape. Take care guys.

RotorBoy: Just to let you know, I took careful measurements to make sure it won't scrape. It is in perfect position right now, about 2 inches from the bottom of the bumper. It left plenty of room to put my ducting in, which is about a quarter inch lower than my bumper, making it the lowest point on the car. Thanks for the concern though. Take care guys. I would love to see some pics of your guys v-mounts too, just curious how other people mounted stuff. See ya.
