Bad plug???
93 T-78 FD, I was driving 40 mph car began to run rough and back fire, I pulled over the car died and I couldn't get it started again. When I push started it the car would run but only if I kept on the gas and it back fired alot. I got it home pulled the leading plugs and I couldn't get spark on one of them. I will put in new plugs tommorow and see what happens.
I am using RX-8 plugs.
Is this something that would happen if one of the plugs was bad?
Thanks
Erik

Which plug was bad? This makes a big difference... you can have a trailing plug (top ones) bad and not even NOTICE. So I'm assuming it was a leading plug. Why would you use RX-8 plugs? I mean... the regular RX-7 plugs work fine for most people....
I run BUR9EQP leading and BR10EIX trailings... what are you using.

One of the trailing plugs was bad. I am using RX-8 plugs because the shop that put the car together said they were the best to use. I am only going by what they told me.....regular RX-7 plugs are probaly less expensive so I wouldn't mind using them if there were no difference in performance.
I am not sure what are in there for trailing, I would have to ask. The shop also said I would not have to change my trailings. I don't understand this. Do trailings last longer than leading plugs since the leading provides most of the power? I am still learning so please bear with me with my newb questions.
Also would a bad leading plug cause what I described above?
Thanks
