avcr and wastegate
I read a couple of posts.
Im going to switch over to a turbonetics 60-1 turbo. I have a greddy type r 47mm wastegate. I want to run 13psi daily and 15-17psi max. I have the 0.8-1.2 kg/cm2 spring in it right now. will that be fine? what is the advantage/disadvantage if i ran a smaller spring like a 7psi spring and used the boost controller to bump upto 13-17psi?
Thanks

i got the avcr and a hks tandard wasegate with a 7 psi spring. in the avcr manual it says to use the spring that will have the boost controller right around 70% duty cycle at what ever boost you wanna run. i have the 7 psi spring in it and i gotta keep my duty cycle around 50- 40% to achieve the boost i wanna run and it works fine for me. i hve been running about 15psi of boost give or take.

alright so with a 11psi spring and a t04b 60-1
35% duty cycle is would be acheived at 14 psi and at 18psi 70% duty cycle would be acheived becuase its the max boost id ever run. would this be alright?

Yeah, I'd say that you'd be good to go. If you have any other questions, PM Dragon. He is really good with AVCR's and could help you more than anyone else I know. Best of luck.
