Attn: Florida guy with the track prepped FD

I don't remember what your name is, but to the guy with the killer dark blue (white engine bay and interior), totally prepped FD. I was really hoping you could give me a lead on where to get the Lexan like you did with your car. I want to do Lexan windows on my FD within the next two weeks, but can't afford $600 per window.

Thanks

John, are you going full race now? I have a few special parts comming in the near future IE: 1 piece front end and backhalf. I am also planning on people being able to get drunk off my fuel , I didnt see you at all this weekend. were you there? how did you run if you were?

I too am interested, the home depot way is not that reliable,as mine cracked and poped out sitting in the garage. Hook me up with some info.

I'm interested too. I was just about to order the mazdacomp part, but I'd rather save a few hundred bucks....

Can you bend thick lexan with a heat gun? My concern has been being able to get the curve into the lexan...

If I do try it again, I will bolt it down then use a heat gun to make it form better and not have as much tention on the bolts.

So for the rear window would you attach it to the stock frame? If not, how would you fasten it so that you could still open the hatch?

No, still the FC... but it's going to be a total track assassin! I want to know where to get stuff to make my own windows, and tips on how to do it cheap.

Ryan, If your car is gonna be a full track car why do you need the hatch to open?

It's convenient to be able to get to the fuel cell, among other things, without having to try to work through the roll cage from the front...

To get to the fuel cell and to adjust the tokico illuminas among other thing... although cell will have a quick fill. An opening hatch would just be nice.

If you guys are interested the front winshield is an actual used nascar margaurd lexan window. He can do the front windows for
$185 because it costs him to buy the windows from the nascar shops. My rear window did not involve much heat you may not even need it.But,yes you do attach it to the original frame, mine is done with 3/8in rivets. If anybody wants to call on the windows
the shop is called ISC Racing and the # is (863)324-2742 its in Winter Haven,FL so its on Eastern time.He said its tough to get
the glass so there may be a wait.
