I'm running the XS Eng TO4E kit for a couple of months now. This BOV sounded like a turkey, fluttering whoosh sound.

Last night I notice that the hose that looped had a kink on it. So I cut it shorter to get rid of the kink. Took it out for a spin right after and I notice the car is not boosting, it sounded like there is a leak. I then check the hoses to make sure it was in all the way. I notice the turbo spools up faster at a lower RPM but it makes a steady whoosh sound rather than flutter.

Question is, was I experiencing compressor surge?
