Apexi AVCR boost sensor -- air filter

How critical is the inline air filter to the Apexi AVCR pressure sensor? Mine fell apart. Is it there for longevity, or does it also help stabilize the sensor reading?

Anyone know where to get a replacement or something that will do the same thing?

Thanks,

Andy

I've always pitched them, but I suppose its an extra measure of safety. Then answer to your question is no, its not necessary, but helpful.
