Anyone realized any negative/catostrophic effects fro running too much IG split.

Particularly on high boost applications, could running as much as 15* split be dangerous? I remember reading it somewhere on this forum that there may be dangers associated with running too much split at high boost.

Please give you thoughts on this

It depends on if you are running waste spark or direct fire.

Assuming there are no weird ignition-system problems, I don't see how running a lot of split could cause any kind of major issues. It might be sub-optimal for power production, and could possibly raise EGT some, but I can't see anything else bad occuring. A stock FC turbo II can run up to 17 degrees split at high load according to maps in the stock ECU.

I am currently running 15 split at full boost on my car; 18psi on T04R/T67 turbo with USA 93 octane pump fuel. I do this for safety reasons.
