another (informative) what do i get thread

Ok. this one is my one idiot thread of the month. so please bare with me. I have composed a list of as much information as i can think of to support every need of the turbo setup i want... here it goes.

Turbo setup –

I want –
To be able to have a streetable car for some spirited driving now and then and autocross and drift on the weekends. Looking for about 300whp + 20whp. Still want it to be fairly *reliable, but fun to drive if I decide to step it up a notch.

*reliable means the engine or any part on the car will not detonate or cause a cascade of destruction if/when one part fails.

I have – (a streetable car)
My car – 1988 10th AE T2 FC S4 motor no porting but that can change
Suspension – Tokico 5ways Ground Control Springs
- Full Poly bushing kit (not installed yet)
AFC – Apexi SAFC2 (not installed yet. Gift)
Clutch – ACT Clutch and Flywheel (pulling motor and tranny this weekend)

I need –
Injectors –
Primary – 550cc (stock I have these) bigger?
Secondary – 720cc new, bigger?
Fuel Pump - Walbro 255Lph
- Larger Fuel lines? On high-pressure side?
FPR – manual fuel pressure regulator link good fpr for my purposes?
- Is it a good idea to run the fuel rails in parallel to eliminate the pulsation dampener once the fpr is installed?
ECU – will I need one yet? Like the haltec?
- home built FCD
Boost controller – Apexi AVC-R
Turbo – HKS T04e
- I would prefer a faster spool up rather than higher power. As I said I’m only looking for 300whp
Wastegate – internal part of HKS T04e … I think
BOV – ??? not sure yet
Exhaust – Racing Beat Full Turbo 2 system

Gauges –
Mechanical Boost gauge
A/F ratio gauge
Fuel Pressure gauge

Please help me out with the other parts to make this system work safely.

I am also looking for a few people who can help me through this entire process via Emails, IM, or even Video if you have a mac(iChat is amazing that way).

Thank you for your time and help,
TR

lol
sorry dude but not to many ppl are going to care about what you need and what you want. Try doing your own research, comming to your own conclusions and asking simple questions.

From what your describing I would go with a stock hybrid turbo. That way you get your power and retain stock like response.

As far as ecu goes, get what your local tuner knows. I think you could get by without one at this point but I HIGHLY recomend getting a standalone. It makes everything simplier and more reliable in my book. Also if you do get a standalone then you wont need the fcd or safc.

Unless you got a wideband to run your air fuel guage then its just a pretty light show, nothing more. I recomend getting fuel pressure, oil pressure, water temp, oil temp, and egt all in the cabin. You dont need a boost guage if your gonna stick with the avcr or another controller that will tell you your vacum boost.

Edit: This is the fpr I have.
