Air filter...ideas??

Hey guys, I'm stuck again on my project and need some advice. My setup in engine bay is leaving very little clearance to allow air filter to be mounted onto my turbo (maybe 3 inches). My apex gt intercooler sits behind the reinforcement bar, then comes my sr motorsports radiator, then finally behind that are the radiator fans. Time is an issue as I know some of the things listed above can be adjusted to clear for more room, but have to get this thing tuned within a week. I can't even fit an angled coupler to direct the filter elsewhere. The only possible solution (which i know many don't recommend) is to put a net on the inlet or use the HKS mushroom filter which I haven't heard good things about. What should I do, thanks in advance.

Sorry for stupid question but if I don't have a filter on it shouldn't effect tune right?

Pep Boys (and probably others) sell a pretty good reinforced flexible tubing that will allow you to put your filter wherever you want. Sold in 3" and 4".

K&N have all kinds of custom filters, just take your measurements, then go to their site and find one that will fit.

I'm using RU-2520 on my T88
