what about the Blitz BOV?? how is that? ive seen many BPU and higher supras running the Blitz, so it must be good for the upper PSI range (19-22ish). most RX-7s dont run that much boost, so im guessing it vents with the best of 'em.
any comments?

The Blitz is an awesome BOV as well. As far as my last MKIV, I ran two on the twins (HKS2835GT's), and have ran as much as 2 bar, and they seemed to hold fine, compressor surge / boost creep was never an issue, but then again my best ET was 10.69, and for a 845hp (crank) car, there were probably many things that may have "seemed ok", but prevented me from going faster .... Then I've ran the Type S, but again this was for my DSM's, the boost is different, the turbo (garret t25 (stock)) is smaller, the Type S was perfect, but probably would be impractical for an Fd. As far as a BOV for the FD, I'm prbably going to go the Greddy Type R route just to merely **** you all off with BRAND NAME GARBAGE as one had called it. It seems practical, I've never ran a Tial BOV, but I will say this. I did however have a problem with the HKS external wastegate on my last DSM, so I switched to a Tial 40mm unit, and I will say, held up MUCH MUCH better, the construction was very nice, far advanced for the regular joe, BUT, the Type R seems to work perfectly for higher boost applications, we are NOT running 2 bar in our FD's (I as well as your 13B's hope not), so whats the big diff?! They are both great units (from what I can gather), I don't think the decision is something you have to ask your wife. Eeeeny meeeeny miiiiiiny moe...seriously....

Greddy Type-R will fit.
HKS SSQV will fit.
Apexi Twin Chamber won't.
Turbos XS won't (I don't think).
I don't have any measurements for the Tial...if anyone knows FOR SURE if it will fit between the strut tower, oil filter, and the brake fluid reservoir.... let me know....

It is small enough to fit there?

Kinda like fast and the furious, but they had really bad costumes, and the cars wherent as riced out, although they used these neon "light sabers" a lot.
I personally think it was a rip off of TFATF. Vin Diesel was so much better than that "Han Solo" guy

I have a quick question for you guys. What effect will different palcement of the BOV have? I have seen people that have them close to the turbo, some close to the trottle body, and some with one near each. My friend is currently going single on his MKIV Supra and we have been trying to decide what whould be better.
So far we have come up with the conclusion that closer to the TB would in theory would be better do to the fact that the compressor surge will not travel as far before it is released through the BOV. This just what we were thinking so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

you are correct, the closer the BOV is to the throttle body, the quicker you will regain boost when you get back on the gas, and the boost will be more responsive. the reason being that the compressed air doesnt have to go through the IC to reach the enigne. with the BOV before the IC, you would have to wait the extra split second.
either way, im sure there wont be any noticable difference.

Either way, you want it in a low velocity / high pressure area, which means at one end or the other. The middle of the pipe doesn't work as well.

FREAKING BEAUTIFUL... (pictures by Monday)
I don't know if it will fit on the compressor tube... but I'm sure gonna try....
For $190......... I don't think that can be beat.. not on price/quality....(plus you can order it in 4 separate colors)...
