A1000 Voltage Control module
For long term driving applications where continuos run times exeed 30 minutes and fuel capacity is less than 10 gallons. Aeromotive recommends the installation of a pump voltage control module. (Areomotive p/n 16302)

The guy who sold me the fuel pump told me that the pump should "Always!!" see at least 12v in order for it to last. He mentioned something about a 12v regulator you can buy at Radio Shack that will maintain the pump at 12v all the time.
Is there any alternatives to the $260 module?
$200

I don't run one.......... I've got mine ran off a direct 12 volts from the battery. A1000 longevity depends on a few things. Like you said, good power and always a good regulator and filter. Mine's be great for 4+ years and counting...... 2 years of that being daily driven.
