6 Inj. Manifold Xcessive VS ProJay/JW Performance
Here's my goal to come up with a 4 injector manifold plus 2 injectors on the block. My two main options are the current Xcessive 4 injector manifold or JW Performance/Pro Jay style 4 port manifold with elbow and throttlebody(s). I'm really having a hard time paying $520 plus modifications to my existing top feed secondary rail, when I can spend the same amount or less and possibly gain some performance. The break down is below. I have full machine shop so rail modifications to me are free (time only), plus I have 200 in summit bucks to spend. Any thoughts on drive ability issues and performance gains I may have by moving to the JW style manifold setup.
$520 Excessive LIM
$? Rail Modification
or
$210 JW Performance Manifold
$110 Edelbrock 3848 Eblow
$ 20 Mustang Throttlebody
$? Fuel Rails (Already have the stock)
$ 25 Injector Bungs
$ 40 90 Eblow for IC piping
$520 Excessive LIM
$? Rail Modification
or
$210 JW Performance Manifold
$110 Edelbrock 3848 Eblow
$ 20 Mustang Throttlebody
$? Fuel Rails (Already have the stock)
$ 25 Injector Bungs
$ 40 90 Eblow for IC piping

Well, I really don't want to spend a lot of time on it as I would like to get it done this season. If I do it myself I will take too long to finish with my other projects. Plus if I did roll my own it may or may not work as well as something already out there.
Yes, I'm running E85 using 4 160 lb injectors currently and would like a little more head room when it comes to injectors and would like some smaller primaries.

There is a subtle difference between the JW and the pro jay manifold, and it has to do with space. Make suer your turbo/manifold fits with one of this type of manifolds.
With that said, why don't you go with the proven combo? The manifold, 8 injector TB, and hat?
I had a quick chat with them at the Pan Ams, and his new TB/hat (redesign) looks AWESOME! Check them out:

I am sure you can make it work (and no offense to your skills) but I highly doubt that your idea/setup would be as good as the E&J or Pro Jay TB setup. Anyways, that is not here or there, the only advice that I can give you is:
Make sure that your turbo/turbo manifold FITS when using one of this type of intake manifold.
Good luck with your build, I am sure it will come out right

Thanks for the advice. Just got off the phone with JW and it sounds like the manifold is almost 5 inches deep compared to approx 3 inches on the stocker so it definitely won't fit my setup. Sounds like I'm going to have to find a used Xcessive or build my own lower....

i honestly didnt care for t he 4 port intake until i saw what it can do to a rotary. we make globs of power from a ported motor (adding more air) so just imagine what a 4 port intake can do.
low-medium boost. from what the owner said stock motor on a gt35

which is why i went with projay. also beside it being to have more space its lighter as well

they actually made slightly over 700 whp on the stock motor with an S475 turbo, not the GT35R. They made just over 500whp w/ the GT35R.
For all out performance, I don't think you can beat the Pro-jay or similar manifold w/ a proper TB/injector setup.
