50mm WG
hi, new to this forum, just converted my FD to single turbo, some turbo called XS power T4 rotary, custom built 2.2 inch tubed SS304 manifold and 50 mm WG and 3.5 inch exhaust throughout
the prob is that my WG looks like the HKS 50mm racing gate, and has 3 connections two on the top and one on the side, didnt get any instructions with it so Im kinda lost, can anyone advise what to do
one more thing is that when I first installed the WG I just connected the side port and directly hooked it to the compressor outlet at first it worked fine but now its consistently open even at idle, any ideas whats up?????

You had it connected properly. Your wastegate is probably broken and needs replacement. But you might see if there is a spring adjustment in the middle of the top (a threaded rod with a jam nut on it -- or maybe the nut fell off).

its only been 2 days since I got the car on road, after installation the WG operated at 7 psi boost pressure (I know because I have a screamer pipe) my gate does have a threaded fitting in the centre but I can also see a small nut and allen grub screw inside the hole, do I just thread a long bolt in it to press on the nut inside or do I need to perform surgery on the gate,
