I'm using some Crane wires I bought on closeout for like $10. I don't think anything exotic is required. I liked the Taylor Spiro-Pros I had before, and a lot of people even use the (stock) ones from NGK. I had some of those Racing Beat Ultra plug wires on my T2 and they were really nice (the silicone seemed smooth and strong -- high quality stuff that fit snugly and held on tight), so I might splurge and get some of those for my FD when I need a new set.

Been using the Taylor wires for years with really good results, cheap too and available from Summit. Be sure to check resistance of any wires you buy before install, seen new sets have a bad wire or two right out of the box.

Also heard many good comments on the Magnecors, surprised to hear your results.

Resistance should be to plug wire manufacturer's spec.

If the Magnecor wires are arching they will die. They are very sensative to high heat also. I've heard of alot of them going on DSM, MX6, Miata type cars. I would think the same would be true for the RX-7. Try a set of MSD wires.

I now use Taylor after having poor results with Magnecor.
Have had the Taylors for 4 years now with no problems.

Yep - I did Taylor Spiro-pro in the "roll your own" universal kit available from Jeg's. I use LX91s mounted to the BMK.
