1994 rx7 turbo with peri intake set up

my friend has a 3rd gen rx7 and when installing a few turbos oil would leak from the front of the turbo and sometimes in the back, we are now thinking there is so much pressure this motor is creating which is screwing up the turbos, we just purchased a turbosmart oil regulator for the turbo , now we are going to slap on a BRAND new Garret gt4204 1.00 ar GTX series BB turbo, before we slap this thing on what are the correct size lines you guys are using, we will also use the oil regulator set up on it as well

Each turbo has its own oil needs. Best to contact garret for the correct size. It may not be the size from turbosmart. I’ve run both -3 and -4 for my oil feed lines with success.

also, the drain line has to be of adequate size (5/8” or -10)and not kinked at all.

Are you running the pcv system? Is it hooked up right? Or are you running an oil catch can? Is it setup right?
lots of little things to check.

the car has a catchcan set up and we are using a -4 and -10 for the drain, no kinks, but so far we had no luck with every turbo we put such as greddy t78,ITS, we even sent out the greddy t78 to get rebuilt by boost lab and same thing, we are getting too much oil pressure and we notice turbo smart came up with a fix with a regulator, so we just ordered a garett gt4202 1.00 ar gtx series (BTW expensive *** turbo) smh..we will see how this regulator works but just checking to see if anyone has this issue with very oil pressure

I changed the oil pressure regulator in my motor to run higher oil pressure than stock and I don’t have this problem.

Hope the new regulator does the trick, good luck.
