1.19 a/r is it too big garret gt40

I bought a gt40 garret used and the hotside is 1.19. i am not done with the car yet but, do you guys think that it will be too big and the car will respond very slow on the streets also i was looking to make around 450hp to the wheels with a 93 motor street ported. i dont wanna have to go all the way to 8000rpm to make power i wanted to get at least decent low end to mid range power as well
should i try to get a .95 or .81 insted

If it is a true GT40 then the only smaller size you can get is a 0.94A/R. 1.19 is pretty large, prob get 15psi around 4200rpm.

Not sure about gt40 but my 40r has a .85 on it and was great. I did switch to a 1.06 and it was more than I wanted. I now have a 4094 (40/42r) with a .95 but not tested yet.

you can get alot of backhousings for that turbo. I've seen them with .81 .84 and .96 backhousings. Call precision turbo. they should be able to help you
