i was hoping someone had come up with a cheap kink free way of bending pipes.

what diameters do you guys use for various things?
up/downpipe, IC, etc

I know less about mandrel bending than I do about welding, but I have seen aircraft mechanics use certain equipment. Unfortunately, it all looks pretty complicated and expensive to me. Hopefully some of these links will help.

Hmm, would a stick welder be alright to weld up manifolds as well? I'm guessing not...

no one answered my question about pipe diameter
if i were to buy some of those u bends what should i get? what do you guys to do ICs, radiators, turbo piping etc

has anyone had much experience MIG welding aluminium? How thin a material can you mormally weld, i am looking at getting the necasary parts to upgrade my MIG to weld aluminium, what i am welding will be approx 3 - 4mm thick? is it possible or am i wasting my time? i am pretty good at mig welding mild steel

I use a Hobart Handler 135. I have 3 gas bottles I run:
75/25: Mild Steel
100% Argon: Aluminum
Tri-Mix: Stainless Steel

My attempts at Al welding have been poor. I am still trying, most likely will pick up a TIG later this year.
