hey i just turned 17 3 days ago and i have had my rx-7 for 1 year now and i have fixed every thing on it so that it could handle a good size turbo and now my grandma died and left me a well amount of money and my parents are letting me use $8,000's of it to use on ne thing i want and i have dicided to spend it on my beast of rx-7 so i would like to know what turbo should i get the GT35/45 or the HKS T51-r u tell me and i have been workin in a import shop sor a while and they tell me to get the GT35/45 (and when i said i had every thing for it im not lie'n that means fuel upgrades, cooling upgrades, anything that the car lacked i took care of it)

i have a full bridge and i use a t76 with a q trim exhaust blade...
its on a 12A and it makes 730 rwhp @ 28 psi

its a bit laggy but it runs great

I run a 13B street port JC Cosmo and I was told that the gt3540 would be the best for it....this was upon recommendation from The Hitman...maybe this helps?

I think im gona stay with the TO4 family as i think they give the best of both worlds depdent on trim.

It work well with a stock ported engine, but I'd recomend just getting a a/r .84 to4e or S for $500 new that will work just as good for way way less and you can overhaul it for about $100 later on down the road.

That turbo would choke the hell out of a BP engine, now if you ran 2 of them on the BP O hell yea.... :D

Yes, a BP has a very strong exaust pulse so it will spool a big turbo well. To get the most out of it you want to have a big ex wheel and ex housing because a BP makes gobs of power up in the high rpm area and you don't want to restrict the exaust flow or you will defeat most of the power to be gained by that port. What size turbo you run will depend on how big of a BP you use, How much fuel your fuel system can provide and if you have a good computer to tune and control that fuel. A Q-trim a/r .96 T76 like I have on my stock ported 20B would be a real pissed off turbo on most BP engines and you'd make GOBS of power down in the lower boost ranges all the way up to 10k rpm with the right BP.

whats the smallest turbo you want to use on a half bport? for when i decide to upgrade the turbo im thinking no smaller than t70 and a t76 is something i have considered. how much hp is a t76 good for?
