Thumbs up Reman13b (Reman13b.com) -- A+

My rebuild finally gave out back in December, and I needed an engine to get my DD up and running. I contacted Peter Staudt through a craigslist ad, where he had a used shortblock with 124k he'd sell and install for $1000. I later figured out that he is reman13b here on the forums, and also the site owner of reman13b.com. I wanted to assist with the swap, so I can learn from someone more experienced with 7's, and he said sure.

I towed the car to the shop on 04 Mar, and we began work on 05 Mar around noon. We finished at midnight. At times I felt like getting in his way, but he has a large amount of patience and figured out how to keep his pace and have me participate -- I'd work on the starter and tranny, while he was at work at the rat's nest and upper manifolds.

During the swap he explained to me what I missed during my self rebuild/installation, ranging from misrouted wiring, to misrouted/missing grounds, and the disadvantages of Ideal hose clamps (the ones with a worm screw) in confined spaces.

The car fired up on the first try at midnight, even with my previously misrouted wiring job, and hasn't given me any problems so far.

Overall, he is very knowledgeable about 13b's. In the future I plan on using his engine assembly service when I start to port a spare engine. Thanks again!
