I was looking under my trailing coil last night and found what looks like a plug connected to a plug with no wires connected to it, but 2 of the pins jumpered together. Is it normal?







Also, I saw this wire not connected to anything. Should it be connected to something?

 

Normal for cars without the factory security system.

The empty wire is a test connector.

The BLUE jumper plug connects the circuit from the clutch interlock switch to the small wire on the starter solenoid.

IF you remove the BLUE plug, you can then jump positive voltage from the battery to the BLACK/WHITE wire in the other half of the plug and the starter will turn over. No key required. Also no start unless the key is to ON.

The BLUE jumper plug replaces the Starter Cut Relay that is found on cars with factory THEFT. Kind of what was said above but with a little more information. It's a useful tool when working on the engine.
