Just working on getting them onto the rules page...

There are a couple members that are very very **** about wording and don't want anything left for the freedom of interpretation.

I have already informed you that this is being worked on. I'm just waiting for the approval of the rates that were submitted.

I gotta say I really do appreciate the fact that moderators seem to be a LOTTT more accessable nowadays. I don't even remember mods being this active in the suggestion/comments forum awhile back. Good job guys!!!

Thanks Riz.

To all members.

We are working on things as quickly as possible.
Remember we are members just as yourselves that have lives and other jobs.

Somethings such as the vendor issues are out of our hands as far as how quickly things get done. I follow up with this on a weekly basis with IB and have another meeting scheduled this week.

I could post every week or every day with an update that states that it is being worked on but that is only redundancy at best.

The only thing that I can tell you is that the issue is being pushed very hard from the moderation staff.

Thank you,

Doc.

I spoke to Rx7doctor and was linked to this page. I am awaiting his and others response before posting much more. They are working on the pricing situation but in my opinion the issue is much deeper than that. Hopefully all will be resolved and I will be as satisfied as I have been in the past with this forum and those who run it.

Seems to me that leaving it open to interpretation is shooting yourself in the foot. You'll just have more work to do when that freedom to interpret is abused. Since realistically it will happen. Plus draws a clear black line as to where the boundrys are.

It's a good thing

I checked with the sales person for internet brands again about any new advertising rates they may be offering. She did not even acknowledge that they are looking at any rates below 200/month. This is somewhat upsetting and her last emailed almost looked like a canned response. Could someone verify if they are actually looking at offering lower rates? I guess based on her not even acknowledging that I wonder if they even are seriously considering it.

Ryan,

We have received positive feedback from vendors that are posting on the
site as to the increase in business which allows them to justify the
rate.

Are you anticipating an increase in sales by advertising on the site? If
so wouldn't that justify the rate and cover the investment?

We have received some good feedback from vendors that are engaged with
the community as to the increase in business that they are receiving , I
am hoping that you will see the value of being a vendor on the site once
again. Please let me know if you have any further questions or how you
would like to proceed.

Sincerely,
Kim Bella

$200 per month is too much for our current budget. I was told that there

were going to be some lower cost options. I was hoping for something
around $50 a month.

Ryan

Hello Ryan,

How are you doing ? It's great to hear from you again, I will be
more than happy to assist you in getting set up on the RX7 site as a
vendor. We have Vendor packages that start at $200.00 per month. /*

Please let me know what type of advertising you were interested in
and what is your budget then I can put together a custom quote for
your review.

Where is this good/positive feedback at? I've seen nothing but bitching since this started.

rx7doctor: Who have you been talking to? Apparently you need to talk to Kim Bella.

I spent 20 minutes explaining the plight of the small business owners on this forum, she replied with a "special" rate of $190/month

Why aren't you talking to Ryan? Didn't you advertise before IB came around? If so, you should be talking with Ryan, he can make deals for advertisers that were before IB.

Because RX7DOCTOR specifically told me to contact IB (Kim Bella) and that RYAN was not the forum owner anymore. Perhaps the MODS should at least have 1 stance on the issue. RX7Doctor sez "this", you say "that" And IB is taking their time.

Is IB's sales staff commisioned? Hence the reluctance on IB to lower their rates?

Don't know if IB is commissioned or not, as I have never even spoken or email or PM'd one other than for re-opening my online store, but if you are a past vendor/advertiser (you have advertised here in the past before Jan 1 2008, then contact Ryan (boosted7) as he can work with you for a deal that is applicable to your history.

RX7Doctor may have told you to contact IB, before we learned about Ryan still handling some of the older accounts, in the Mod meeting a couple weeks back. One of the positive things that has some about by all the bitching is this little gem, that most of the mod and admin staff just found out in that meeting.
