Those with Tein Rear Pilow ball mounts

I got my pillow mounts, but I think I installed them wrong. IS it needed to use any of the stock strut mounting spring retaining boots? I used a new dust boot w/ bump stop and the lower rubber spring ring.

BUt then I put the rubber upper spring retainer thing from the stock mounts onto the tein piece. Was this correct, or should the spring have been touching the aluminum tien piece directly?

I posted more details in this thread [ur]https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=701398[/url]

here's a picture with strut on the car how I did it.
that white blurry thing at the top is the stock piece I left in.

I suppose if someone just took a picture of how there mount is in, that would be all the help I need.

Doesn't anyone have the rear mounts? Should the spring sit directly on the metal disc piece at the top?

Are these stock or stock type springs? Most people with pillow ***** will have coilovers. Having some rubber in there shouldn't really be needed, especially if the springs can't go slack.

I'm not surprised that the height changed, as you've moved the spring perch.

They are stock type, yes. Suspension Techniques tht are supposed to drop the car about 1.5". and it did sit about that low with the old mounts.

If I don't need the rubber pieces up top, I'll take them off. I got the pillow ***** as my stock mounts were not looking good at all and had about 150k on them.

The car drives dramatically better with the Koni yellows and Tein mounts, but it's so high up! Thanks for the advice.
