Is there a "sprung" 6 puck out there for the FD?
Hey guys, I've been looking at buying a 6 puck, but I REALLY want something that's going to be sprung. Everything I've found is solid. Does anybody know where I can find a sprung 6 puck? Thanks a lot! ~A-Rod

Rather than making a new thread, anyone know where I could get a flywheel counterweight for the best price? I know rx7store's is 125, but I thought I've seen a few cheaper... any reason?

Go to www.specclutch.com, click on 'products,' 'stage 3' and then the flashing 'info.'
If you want a cheap auto c/w, get one in the 2nd gen parts for sale section. don't forget the hardware, worst case you can order it from ray at malloy.

I don't recommend any kind of 6 puck for the street. Although they are capable of holding more power, most are a bitch and a half to drive smoothly on the street.
You have to resort to slipping the clutch, which leads to very quick flywheel friction surface wear. I ran the act/racing beat combo and it sucked. Unless you are running 20+ lbs of boost, you don't need a 6 puck. An act street/strip will be plenty. Better yet, an Exedy twin disk would be the best option for the street and track if you can afford it.

). The reason I am leaning towards a 6 puck is because I am planning on going single sometime late next year. I know a year sounds like a long time away, but I only put about 5,000 a year max on my FD, and this year is almost over(for the FD). I figure I might as well get it out of the way now, rather than have the hassle of replacing it when I make more power.

I have the ACT sprung 6puck with the HD pressure plate from RX7Store and also run the ACT Streetlite flywheel... it was a bitch for the first few hundred miles breaking it in but after about 400 miles it felt great. Easily streetable and grabs great!
maddslow also look at horsepowerfreaks own disc that they make. it is suppose to be really good. they say you can slip the clutch and also no chatter. it alittle expensive,$320-340 just the disc. good luck
