A friend of mine has opened his own shop in Tyson comer area. His name is Oui and he owned several rotary powered machines, FDs, FCs and Datsun with 13b swap that he has done himself.

I have known him personally for several years and he is one of the best car mechanics I know.

He can do any basic maintenance for all generation RX-7 and RX-8. He can also tune for AFR with wideband.

He has tunning software for AEM and Power-FC.

He also has a fender-rolling tool locally.

 

I got to meet them when they took over vertex. Quiet guy, but really nice and definatly knows what he's doing. I'm gonna bring my FD there in the near future :thup:

I'm trying! Gonna be at least another year though. My brother is moving to Arizona and we're selling the condo we bought when that happens so i can get a real house. Then, it's GAME ON!

I went there today! Looks like he is plenty busy. I'm gonna drop my car off there tomorrow or Monday to get shocks/springs installed. Oui is a good guy, kick him some business!

 

Good smart guy. give him work if you can on any of your cars, as a new shop owner he needs the work.

takes care in his work and has always treated me fair. He's done about 6 years of work for me. I'd let him do my rebuild when the time comes.

And when I get around to it, I'll let him tune my pfc. He said once he went to Miami for a seminar.

Damn they didnt even make it a year...

 

Dunno, tried calling to get an est. for a rebuild. Phone was disconnected. Went up there and the place was closed. Talked to their neighbors, everybody said that they went out of business.

 

I don't know what happened either..

But Oui now works at Z-Auto Center in Laurel, MD. (301) 498-8344- I believe this is their number.

He's back in Laurel at Z-Auto, his old shop for many years. Spoke with him the other day. He said he had plenty of work doing modifications however the partnership wasn't working out.

Right now he's driving a 400hp eclipse. His z-auto boss Pal, a non assuming man, just bought his passion, a rather good looking cooper mini.
