Top Speed Calculator Here!

I was reading another thread and got motivated to make this. I figure that someone can make use of this, so here it is!

It calculates theoretical top speed based on tire size and engine RPM. Just fill in the blanks!

Your tire size is mis-calculated. The 40 in 225/40/18 is the aspect ratio. Its the ratio between the sidewall and tire width. So a 225/40/18 has a 90mm sidewall. (225mm x 40/100=90mm) So a 295/30/18 has a 88.5mm sidewall and a 295/40/18 would have a 118mm sidewall.

And another thing, 6th gear is so tall that you cannot accelerate after you upshift at redline in 5th gear in a Corvette or F-body. So their top speed is at redline in 5th. I'm not sure how it would work out with a 4.10 in an FD, or an LSx making more power than stock.

Thanks for doing this. Its actually pretty cool. I don't think I'll be able to test the 6th gear pull after a shift at redline in 5th. Anyone crazy enough to try?
