Collector plates for RX-7 1993, 25 years old

Gent's, I have been applying for my collector plate for my 93 rx7 out here in BC Canada. I have had the car foe 22 year and the car is bone stock...At least I thought. The only question that came up was the fact my interior center console and face plate for the cd/tape deck are Montigo blue the same color as the car from factory. The adjuster is debating weather the console and face plate were a color option from factory? He says no and I need to paint them back to black as specified from factory unless I can prove this is a true interior color option.
Can anyone comment on this color issue?

I agree with the insurance company. Those panels should be the black satin finish as the rest of the dash. Personally taste, but I think it would look better anyway. FWIW, black Plasti-Dip works well for this.
Also, I think your post count and time with the forum would've allowed you to post in the 3rd Gen. Tech section where you'd have probably gotten more authoritative responses than the New Member area. If so, maybe the mod can move it?

I’ve never heard of that being an option. 93’s all came with smooth black plastic trim in the states as far as I know. Up there could of been different, I don’t know.

I'm in Coquitlam with a 94 and i'm considering applying for collector plates. Did you ever get yours from ICBC?

Sorry for the late reply, I did get my collector plate. I went through ICBC for my comprehensive and it was much cheaper to get my collision through a third party insurance company.

$700.00 a year and that includes storage insurance when I am not driving it .Good luck !

The other take-away...for posterity, is that the interior panel finish is not stock.

Hey, I'd love to see your car if you're bombing around the Lower Mainland sometime. I haven't seen any here with collector plates yet so I'm guessing that you might have the only one?
The air box on my car was removed (for obvious overheating issues). Do you expect that would limit my ability to get collector plates?

I'm usually keeping close to White rock for my cruises , with either my two year old or 6 year old as co pilots. Nine times out of ten do to the bumpy ride they are fast asleep. When it comes to collector plates for your engine pictures I would just find a picture of a car engine compartment complete "stock" and submit. Making sure of course the engine bays match. I am certain no flags will be drawn.

Not an option for your car from the factory
