Rotary ID Question

Hello everyone, first off I'm new to the forum and rotary engines I recently bought my son a '91 RX7 convertible that had been sitting for about 15 years. It's a rust free and in great shape, luckily it's been garaged the entire time. I purchased it not running for $500. I've taken the engine out and one of the rotor's seals broke and has scared both the rotor and housing bad. I've atttached several pictures of an engine that was given to me from a friend. It's a 13b also but was build for an experimental airplane. It was his fathers who had bought the engine new. It has never been started. My intention was to sell it to fund the RX7 repairs. But now I'm curious if I could buy another housings and rotar and use it in our RX7? I realize my current engine is a 6 port and this is a 4 port. Would it work with all of our current accessories like the injection setup? Thanks in advance for any insight,

That is a half of a 13b engine..ONE rotor..not 2..
Someone has taken the front and rear irons and placed the front housing between the 2 irons.

it's cute though..heh,heh!

Someone made as custom single rotor. Assuming there actually is a rotating assembly inside which appears to be the case because there seems to be an eccentric.

It's worth what someone will pay for it. Might be $500, might be $2000.

Atkins Rotary makes single rotor parts.
Mazda One Rotor Parts

You could probably figure the price on what a new rotating set would retail, the challenge will be finding someone who is looking for a single rotor engine.

if you wanted to take it apart and use the rotor you probably could, only problem it seems is that is a s4 rotor housing, so it may have a s4 rotor which won't work in your s5 because you'd have mismatched series rotors
