Hey all,

I'm looking for a greddy elbow or another option for a 20b throttle body. Does anyone have a part number or know of a vendor who might be able to get one?

From my understanding, the other option is to use my 13b-rew throttle body and that greddy elbow. from my research, the throttle bodies are similar in size, and will both bolt up to each upper, just need the appropriate compression elbow. is this correct?

 

Take the 20b standard pipe and cut it just after the bend, then run a bead of weld around the edge of the cut to help hold on whatever hose you are going to use.

 

Unfortunately, I cant even seem to get my hands on an OEM compression elbow, or that would be my plan. My 20b came with a piece of pipe welded to a flange to bolt to the throttle body, which I would have to modify anyways, so i'd like to start with either a cast elbow, or an oem one to modify.

 

It is not something Greddy offers, you have to make your own. The 20B and 13b-re are the same part, find one used on ebay pretty easy, there is a guy there with 4 right now. There are clearance issues with the stock Cosmo elbow and the FD throttle body presents it's own issues with fitment.

There is one on ebay that is supposed to have both bolt patterns, I personally would not use it. I guess with enough modifications it would look ok.

 

Dangit Banzai. Your car is probably the reason i've searched endlessly for the Greddy part for a cosmo. LOL

Did you get the flange from a stock compression elbow?

I searched ebay and cant seem to find anything, searching for cosmo 20b 13b-re intake elbow compression intercooler pipe throttle body or any combination of those words lol.

 

Yes I cut the flange off a stock elbow and cut the flange off a Greddy elbow.

Yikes, is $150 shipped the going rate for that? Seems high for an OEM pipe.

What fitment issues arise from using the FD throttle body/Greddy elbow?

 

I would not sell any of mine at all, so I guess it comes down to how badly you want one. Installing a 20B is not cheap.

The throttlebodies linkage and TPS are reverse of each other, the FD leaves a gapping hole on the UIM that needs to be welded shut & machined flat, the 20B has the ISC mounted to the bottom. It can be done, but it is not a bolt-on.
