About a week ago I picked up a 88 FC. The car, from what I can tell, started out as a 88 SE. I bought the car from the PO as a roller.
Some of the upgrades PO did are 5 lug swap with bbs vert wheels and LSD, and a full body kit painted jet fighter gray (makes up names for colors).
The car also came with 4 piston calipers for the front, and no rotors or pads, and the calipers were not attached to the car.
The engine; supposedly had good compression. The PO bought the engine with a disassembled water pump area. The PPO somehow managed to break the water pump bracket on the front plate. PO had it welded, And never reassembled. Don't kno if I trust it, don't care. I'm planning to swap with a tii engine.
Pics coming soon, iPhone won't let me upload for some reason.
Last Monday I stripped all the bullshit off the top of the engine to get it ready for pulling. Plenums, exhaust, rats nest, everything. Saturday I bought all new brake rotors and pads. Also bought new pin kits for the pads since the PO had lost everything for the calipers. Also had to buy new 12mm bolts for the calipers.
Bled brakes and everything worked properly from what I can tell. I was using a boat anchor and a piece of a bed frame to chock the tires, so being able to use the e brake was a big plus.
So yesterday I pulled the motor. Came out super easy. Love the engine room in these cars. I will probably be parting all the n/a stuff to fund my tii swap, but that's for another thread.

One of things I plan on doing are TII engine swap from a s5. After that will be a bigger turbo, fuel control, timing, and bigger injectors. Looking for around the 300-350 hp range.
8lb flywheel and clutch kit would be in the list of things to do next. Also thinking about torsen diff or rebuilding the clutch type on the one I have. Still researching this.
As for suspension, I wanna go with adjustables, like tokiko blues. I used to have tien s type springs. Thinking about goin with them again.
Here's the POs pic of the car.
Here's some of my pics.
On my way home. Hour drive to pick up this beast.

So I was like, yay, today I get to drive my car. All excited and ****. Flex hose was the last thing to go on. This was my first time removing the slave from this engine. Pulled it off, and WATER come pouring outta the mother effer. Completely seized and rusted out.
If it's not one thing it's another.
Just ordered one, should be here in a couple hours.
Got my wb. The sent me a lc2 kit and I was expecting a lc1. I know that the lc2 replaces the lc1, but the description said lc1 so I figured It was just old stock.

I had originally used a haltech base map from the haltech section. The ignition settings were 65 on the trigger angle, and an 11 tooth offset.
Turns out my setup called for a 5 tooth offset, rather than 11.
timing is now dialed in perfectly. Idle is super smooth. Fires right up cold or hot.
I also added a zero throttle map. Seems like a slight load on the engine calls for a completely different fuel setting than when it's idling.
Still have a little herky jerk when driving. From what I read on my wideband, it's because it's running lean.
I can't get the afr to richen up past 16 when driving. After talking with some buddies and a couple drinks, someone mentioned fuel pump.
Bam it hit me. I'm still running n/a fuel pump like a dummy.
So next step is fuel pump. I was thinking of going with a walboro 255, but somebody told me I have to get a different pressure regulator to run it. So I Did some research, and now in leaning towards an FD fuel pump.
So, fuel pump, fuel tune, and cleaning up the engine bay, and that should be it for the engine side of things.
Thanks for the info lol. Cause I went in to get an alignment and just out of curiosity I tried shaking the wheels and a few of them have some play. I get really bad high speed shaking so all I could do was get a balance. But alright thanks. Gives me a better idea of how much I'll spend.
