RE-SPEED Aluminium Oil Filler Neck Group Buy

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that a group buy on these will be up and running shortly. I would require at least 10 people to get these prices up and going at these rates. We will be dropping 20$ off the regular price of them.

Just as a note, we have revised the cap holder from our initial batches that wouldn't fit after market caps. All caps should be able to go in now.

Here are the available options though, both of which can be either powdercoated in chrome or scotch brite finish:

The first version of it which comes with 1/4" NPT fittings will be 130$ vs the regular 150$. Here's what this one looks like in the chrome powdercoat:

This the second version which includes a -10AN bung welded onto it. These will be offered at 145$ vs the regular 165$. This is what this one looks like in the scotch brite finish:

I'm aware of a couple of people already wanting to be on that list and I'll try to add them on myself once I go through the messages again to find them.

Lastly, after this group buy goes through they will be readily available through our website at a regular price.

Cheers!

Two questions...

1) Is "scotch brite finish" just raw aluminum that has been scotch brite'd by someone?

and

2) On the -10AN model, is there any kind of internal baffling to prevent oil from going out the fitting when filling the motor with oil?

Can't seem to edit my post...anyways, one more question. Does the price include shipping?

That is correct on the scotch brite finish.

The filler features a lower baffle to help keep the oil from making it up to the vacuum lines seen when tracking the FD. But there is no baffle in the fitting itself. The oils natural path leads away from that fittings. If that is a real concern though, we could weld the fittings with a slight incline in the case any oil does try to go in there it would allow it to flow right back into the neck as oppose to the catch can.

As for shipping goes, shipping would be added to that and not included.

What do you anticipate the total price of the shipped items?

If concerned with oil pouring down when filling with oil, wouldn't a long skinny funnel go past it?

The price of the shipping will vary depending on location, but its a very light piece and be under 20$ I would imagine for most locations.

As for the oil filling, yes that would work.

I'm trying to decide between the powder coat or the flat finish. I'm worried if I go powder coat that I'll have to start powder coating everything. hrm...

I'll take version 1 with the scotch brite finish. I can always powdercoat it later on if I decide to "bling" my engine, right?

2 - JamesVaughn3rd (Powder Coated, -10AN)
3 - doofy (Scotch Brite, NPT Fittings)
4 - scampbell (????, -10AN)

I need everyone to list what finish they need and what fittings they need so I know what to order.

Also another thing that I should probably mention is that the bottom does have an O-Ring on there and no silicone is needed. We supply a new O-ring and bolts with it.

Well had a few phone call to add in there so I've officially opened up the group buy!

Here's the link to them:

http://mrcmfg.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=93

Just select the right one, then choose the finish desired and add it away to you cart.

Just for everyone out there, I'll leave this open till the 30th of this month. It will be open to anyone.

Just so you guys know, if any of you would like something other than the fitting we have listed to make it easier to work with your project just let us know. For example if -10 is too big for you, you can request a -8 AN or if you want a 3/8" NPT and so on. For any modification like that though, you will need to purchase the -10AN initially and then in the notes section just write down what you would like instead.
