Talking got my fc...time to go sideways

I got my 88 fc a couple weekends ago, got it from a friends brother. Got a really good deal on it to, 200 bucks! But all i can say is this fc has been neglected . Now that i have it in my possesion its time to give it some tlc. Im going to turn it into a drift car and try to have it finished by spring to start competing in local events. My plans for it right now are to take the engine out and see if it can be rebuilt, if so then do it if not then replace it, im going to keep it NA. Replace all bushings, do some suspension work, and a couple performance mods. Not worried at all about looks right now, just want it reliable. Im going to plan out everything i am going to do and as soon as im done ill put it up. But i will keep you guys posted on everything i do and be sure to put up a lot of pics. Cuz everyone knows pics are fun lol

Good luck, you've got a long way to go. Interesting wing on that one. Do you happen to know what it is? Also, it's hard to tell, but I suggest putting something over the holes in the top or when it rains it will rust out the panels

If you are really serious about this, I would like to know what kind of roll bar or cage you put in it. It will be required for competition. It's one of the things that I don't like about owning a convertible.

New suspension and a nice 2 way LSD will give you lots of fun.

Deff a cage.

@ jjcobm: Suggestions for sourcing a cage, and if not a DBI cage, maybe impart some about where/ how to mount.

Yes im really serious about trying to compete in drifting, as far as the bar or cage goes not sure yet. the interior is all taken out, it came with the car just sitting on the inside. But if you want to see pics you can go look on my profile.

It's definitely not stock, but I'd rock it. Looks better than the ebay park benches that people put on em. I disagree about it being rice. In my opinion it looks as if it were designed to be more functional than anything.
