Carbon fiber dash?
so i have decided to go with a carbon fiber dash as part of my interior job. the problem is, i cant find any carbon fiber dash kits. the only thing i find are these carbon fiber stickrs that go over the dash. so, is there an actual carbon fiber kit that repaces part of the dash and center console? or am i stuck with the stickers?
I was looking for a place to get a real carbon fiber dash as well. I was unable to, so I ended up buying a high quality kit on ebay. The seller was directcartrim (I believe), and the layovers were real carbon fiber. I have to say that that the outcome really impressed me.
I will try to take and post pics when I get home.

Mazdaspeed used to do them, but have stopped production a while ago. I think you'll find everything you want here though:
Click Me!
May have to enquire though as that is RHD versions.

i have seen a few cars with the carbon fiber look. it seemed to go really well with a two-tone interior. not to mention it would replace the dash parts that i need to replace.
I have a jdm FD and have a cabon fiber mazdaspeed dash, carbon fiber e-brake and carbon fiber gear **** but its all carbon look.Just waiting on interior door plastics to arrive in carbon fiber aswell. It looks awesome and I wouldn't sell it for anything + it goes great with my mazdaspeed seats. It's ridiculously expensive though. The carbon mirror cover with mazaspeed on it is like 120 bucks

how close are the overlays to actual carbon fiber as far as appearance? reason im asking is because seibon makes carbon interior door panels and i was wondering if it would look out of place having real carbon next to an overlay?
The interior pieces were coated in fiberglass, wrapped and clear coated. It took about three months, not bad considering they went to Indonesia and back. www.rau-autowood.com offers this service also.

All I have are crappy cell phone pics of mine...I will upload them shortly...

I do apologize for the awful quality...My digital camera is down at the moment.

I paid $1100, the silver carbon is more difficult to work with, costs more and requires a non yellowing clear coat. There are so many choices of materials, the possibilities are endless.
looks good, but how will it hold up over time as far as fading? i just dont want to shell out a bunch of cash and my interior door panels and dash/console end up faded and yellowish
^ I DEFINITELY understand your concern, as that's what happened with my last dash...However, that dash was MUCH cheaper, and the quality was clearly lower.
When I pulled this new dash out of the box I could tell it was real carbon fiber, and I could even feel the difference when I held it. It was honestly night and day...Kind of hard to explain...
In any case, I will certainly report back after the car has some road time/sun exposure this coming Spring/Summer.
