Do Not Buy This Product (floormats)

Sept. 15, 2010; I ordered and received black floormats "FM3-BLACK" from Mazdatrix.

Today I disovered that the driver's mat where my left foot rests has worn out the black surface and the backing is showing. The car only is driven once or twice weekly for about 5000 miles a year.

Buy them at your own risk as the quality is poor.

u mad?
maybe you need some racing shoes
I'm just kidding

that is why i dont even bother to replace the mats, since I know Im going to make another hole
I buy lots of OEM parts from mazdatrix but i think their floormats are outsourced
lasting two years is not that great but it depends on how bad you dig in the heel
I know someone else makes mats in the group buy section but I think they cost alot more

I am not mad, just warning that the mats are crap. That is the fastest that I ever worn out a mat.

Just ordered some from Pettit which I know are good quality as my friends have had some for years without problems.

I bought 2 pairs of them many years ago. They do only last about year with mild driving. They are fairly cheap though so replacing them once a year or so didn't seem to be that big of a deal to me (and they didn't have some strange logo or writing on them). I thought I had posted up about them about 3-4 years ago, but maybe not.

Jason offers replica OEM floor mats in the non-specific group buy section. He does custom colors and designs, I have these mats in my FC & FD, a nice touch.

I bought the Tri Point Engineering mats in June of 2005. Still in very good shape.

Why not just toss a cheaper plastic type mat over the carpeted ones? Then you can remove them whenever you want to show them off

I've heard nothing but bad experiences from stuff or service from Madatrix. Plus it seems like their cars blow up all the time on the track too. LOL

I think i'll steer clear of them for anything.

I bought new floor mats back when I first go my FD 6-8 years ago. Can't remember if I got them from Mazdatrix or Rx7.com but they are still holding up quite well.

Based on this thread, I'd say it was probably from RX7.com

I was already going to add that I bought black floormats from rx7.com, and the driver's side had a hole in it in less than a year. Commute driving, no weird shoes or anything out of the ordinary. For the $70 I paid, it was quite disappointing.

Though unrelated to the floormats, I will state that Ari has provided good customer service otherwise.
