I bought same diffuser from Chuck. I still have it in my garage. I will buy one if Ken can make it carbon.

I'm kinda thinking line-x or rhino lining would work great on this, ah we'll see.

The regular black coating that Chuck used to sell looks great and was durable and well priced.

You can barely see the diffuser from under the car. It just adds a nice subtle look the rear. Not sure if i'd want to pay the extra costs associated with carbon for this. But I'd gladly buy someone else's if they want to change to carbon.

Will the diffuser fit with the rear mudflaps?

A few posts back (post #62)there's a pic of herblenny's Montego Blue. It looks to have a slight modification to the diffusser but lines up nicely. Because of that pic I'm considering getting the rear mudflaps as well as the diffusser.

Add me to the list but carbon isnt a good idea. Can they make it with the flexible flberglass they use ? Just a thought in case the car squats at launch and the fins hit the road ...

Wouldn't urethane be better for this part due to the afore mentioned reasons? ...just a question.

No because its too close to exhaust!

So, did any of you send in your RE diffuser??

Good point, but isn't the stock ground effect and bumper urethane? I haven't seen any problems with them melting or what not.

yes, But stock urethane parts arent this close to the exhaust.

I wish I had taken pics of my diffuser, but I had to trim quite a bit to clear the catback. If it was made out of urethane, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable putting it on my car as its way too much material so close to the exhaust... Again, this is my take on it and if people want to get urethane version, I guess its up to them..

ShineAuto ships GB items on the basis of the order of payment receipt, with a bias toward local pickup of the first couple of units produced. The list copied above is to define a level of demand for the item only. It is understood that some (%50) will bow out of the GB once the request for funds is finalized. I think that at least one person on the list above has already sent their payment. These commnets reflect the process of at least the on GB I have been part of to date.

well, i can't really pick the item.
When I know how mutch it will be + probable shipping costs and payment details, i'll gladly pay up...
So far we only got estimates and "maybes"...

any real info on how this GB is going?

You can't go wrong if Shine can get these at $300 + $65 shipping especially if that is the definite price. I'm absolutely in at this current expected price for diffusors in the FRP hybrid material.
