Still in on this , and glad to hear some feed back from Shine.

Anyone ever see this on a fd with the rear mud flaps on ? Just wondering if the diffuser could be trimed to fit around the flaps.

Both of these were posted earlier in the thread. Both have mud flaps if I'm not mistaken.

in this picture (and in a few others) it seems that the fins are slightly crooked.... anyone else notice that? i wonder if shine can "tweak" the diffuser at all. maybe its just an optical illusion, but check out a few other pics and tell me im not crazy.

if i am not mistaken, but you would need to modify the diffuser in order to have the mudflaps on, correct?? is that what you had to do herblenny?

I did notice a couple of crooked fins myself. I'll check it out in person....make measurements and we'll go from there.

thanks ken. it looks like someone at RE had a few drinks while making the mold

also (and im sure you wouldnt be able to answer this without seeing the piece in person) i was wondering if the fins themselves would be a solid piece or hollow in the middle. the reason i ask is that... while i really like the diffuser alot (and will buy it either way) i cant stand how the fins come down square and stop. they just dont seem to flow with the body... so after i got mine i wanted to shape the fins with a bit of an angle/rake downward... however if they will be hollow id second think my plan to try and change the fin shape. also, i imagine the possibility of doing this depends on what materials they are constructed from.

thanks, heath

hmm i just took a second look at the diffusers and i believe the "crooked fins" are an optical illusion... the side fins have are angled but the center two (for some reason) end in nearly straight 90's. its odd to me that they did this... maybe having everything the same bored them, or maybe they wanted to make it look more "racey" and have two longer straight fins in the middle (in my opinion they just dont extend far back enough to make that distinction, and end up making the diffuser look crooked). my hope was to shape the fins to look at bit more like this

Is this going to be made in c/f or fiberglass? I assumed it was c/f, but every picture I've seen has been of fiberglass so far.

I think he can only answer that when he gets the diffuser, but for now he is sure it will be FG. It was never made in CF by anyone, FYI.

This one has more fins, and I think it would look good on the FD. I also like how it comforms to the body. If either of these "features" could be put into place that would be fantastic. Eitherway, I'm down 100%.

THe box it will need will be roughly 60x36x10 if my memory is right.
