Is this kit still available? The links aren't working and I need a new front bumper in a desperate way for the FD I just picked up!

I just picked up a new JKL MS GTC front bumper and am
getting rid of my burnout front bumper. I let it go at a fair price . And I still have the box from the GTC. I don't know who made it but it's in good used shape , no cracks or brakes. Pics are in my album. Shipping would be from 77056. Hope that helps !!! |
Your changing bumpers now????
|
Yeah , going with a new look . What better time , now that I have a good local paint shop ready to cut a great deal to paint her. Plus one burnout fd in Houston should be enough !!!! So how've you been D. ?????
|
Dont you still need to put the wider fenders on? Been good. Fd's been a night rider cause of the no a/c . I drove it last week during the day, almost passed out. Took it to autocross, it didn't fall apart. Almost handles as well as my M3. Painting whole car or just the front?
|
more offset and lower!

Theorie, your FD looks great. Shine makes some great looking kits.

mannykiller your car looks great! I considered going with feed sides and a rear diffuser with the burnout front, but was unsure how it would line up... but it looks great, congratz

I definitely have some things in the works for this falls rebuild:nod:
|
I will be ordering this kit soon after my engine is done with the rebuild and port. I can't wait.

Hey Guys,
I took a few pictures of an Rx7 with our fenders built in. Molding on the rear fenders is probably the hardest part of putting on this particular kit. Not every shop does it the same way either. I don't think I've seen a car do it the same way the original Burnout car has it. In the original Burnout Rx7, you can see a crease in the rear flare. More distinction. Most of what I've seen has been more of a blend to the curvature of the FD rear quarters. http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/7...024x683.th.jpg http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/5...024x683.th.jpg http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/8...024x683.th.jpg http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/9...024x683.th.jpg http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/4...024x683.th.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/2...024x683.th.jpg http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/939...024x683.th.jpg Wheel Specs: 19 inch SSR MS1 Rear: 19x11 +22 275/30/19 Front: 19x9.5 + 18 tire size.. unknown. as you can see.. he still has alot more room for more tire. I know he can go at least 295 in the rear with an 11 inch wide wheel. Enjoy :) Ken |
Oh. And if any of you are not interested in doing the fenders (basically requires you to paint the whole car.) We now offer 20mm wider oem style front fenders.
Ken |
what kind of rebar re-enforcement is required with the Burnout front bumper?
|
^ what he said.
|
you modify the standard usdm rebar, here is an example to show where it was cut:

Most remove the usdm rebar. I've been told the JDM rebar works, but I have never seen one yet. Someone locally is working on doing an aftermarket rebar. Stay tuned...

Finally installed and painted

Wanted to post a couple pics with the burnout kit I got. Got the fenders, bumper, sides. Everything but the rear bumper. Also added the CF fender vents and low profile wing that I got from Ken as well. Going to pick up a diffuser from you in a couple weeks as soon as I can decide on the Sanai or Pro... Thanks!
Wheel Specs: Rear: 19/10.5/+22 Front: 19/9.5/+22 Tires: Rear: 275/35/19 Front: 235/35/19 Thanks for the advise on the wheels Ken. They were pretty much spot on. Should have probably gone a little more stretched on the rear so I can drop a little more. But I'm pretty happy with the way it sits now. |
^^^^whoa. looks great. i've never seen another fd around azusa. i thought i was the only one. yours wasnt white at one point... was it?
what color is that? |
