phat wats ur offset??? rear and front?

PhatManBUD 06-16-08 03:05 AM

thanks guys, the wheels are 19 x 9 and 19 x 11. the offsets are +20. in the rear i really cuda gone a hair more on the offset like +25 to get it to suck under more for me to lower it, but with 275s its not so bad, i just gotta camber it just a little.

Why doesn't anyone offer somethign to cover the rear tire? From the rear view it looks like 1/4 of the tire is exposed.... Rockchips and ghettoness.

if that's what you want then go with the Pettit flares....i like the look the burnout floors pull off...i didnt' want the huge bulge that the pettit flares offer.

KaoticFdR1 06-16-08 10:07 PM

*oops dbl post*

wthx100 06-17-08 01:14 PM

I dont like the buldge in the petite flares either, burnout with something to block the rear tire would be perfect.

illusionzx 06-18-08 12:24 PM

are the fenders/bumpers metal or plastic?

shineautoproject 06-18-08 04:42 PM

The fenders are fiberglass aka FRP.

KaoticFdR1 06-18-08 06:26 PM

got my kit in today....i love the kit and the packaging was great...ken and i had some trouble with the company that the shipping company hired to come to my city since it isn't in their area for delivery. They tore up the box, but nothing that can't be fixed. all in all i can't wait to see this on the car with the new paint job.

I just ordered mine (everything but the front bumper) and I'm so anxious to get my hands on it. Ken has been great in communicating so far and very very helpful!

Hopefully there will be another silver specimen with the Burnout kit on to show off in the near future (apart from Ken's obviously :naughty:) as I have noticed people keep asking for them.

Cryptic 06-19-08 03:10 PM

I would like to say my kit came in about 8 days from the time I ordered it. The shipping box was in perfect shape along with everything in it.

Communication was great. I sent them an email. I got a call back the next day. Took my order over the phone. Done deal. I just have to get off my ass and put it on.

KaoticFdR1 06-20-08 01:43 AM

Mine will be lexus graphite grey pearl....although i'm really diggin the grey metallic on the new ZR1 corvettes.

I was by no means bashing Shineauto at all....I talked to ken today and he's going to submit a claim for me which he didn't have to do at all. I truly appreciate it. It's nice doing business with him because he's very enthusiastic and a very nice guy to do business with. The damage was in no way his fault. Shipping companies are notorious for damaging packages, and i completely understand why.

Anyways i can't wait to post pics of the car painted with the kit molded on. 3 weeks is what my body guy told me.

*P.s.*
My body man said the quality of the kit was the best he's ever seen.

OneEvilRx7 06-24-08 10:28 PM

i love this kit, can't wait to order mine.

KKMpunkrock2011 06-24-08 10:54 PM

This kit is...

SEX!
Next summer man, I can't wait, I finally found a kit that I really like.

teknics 06-25-08 06:28 PM

this kit is still available? Any discount for buying the whole thing (front, side, rear) or is it $1200 + shipping?

This has to be one of the best looking FD FULL kits available.

kevin.

KKMpunkrock2011 06-25-08 09:28 PM

2060 for everything plus shipping to residential, I too would like info if there is a discount for buying everything, and I mean everything, possible a sponsorship deal maybe?

spdstarx7 06-29-08 02:57 AM

hey ken ... do u have the kit in stock?

yannis-supras 06-29-08 11:36 AM

Ken can you please give me the tracking numbers of my order and let me know how long it takes approximately to arrive? I tried pm'ing you a couple times as well.

teknics 06-30-08 08:00 PM

how should i go about ordering, dont see it listed in your ebay store, also I'll be ordering the whole thing, minus the udnertray, no discount on that? still $1900+shipping? Should I just call and order? Also as another poster mentioned, are these in stock or made to order?

you can PM me if youd prefer, thanks.

kevin.

I have a question for anyone who installed this kit already.

How did you do about installing the skirt? I was sizing mine up and if the skirt's lip is in the door jam, it touches the door. There's hardly any gap at all.

Did you trim that lip off?

Also did you do any trimming where the skirt wraps around the front fender? From the pics I am seeing the skirt looks pretty tight the the front fender.

Did you bond the skirt to the front fender? I've scene some people blend the skirt and fender together, I pretty sure I do not want to go that route. Looks good, but I may have to take the fender off someday.

I'm trying to get this done this weekend, so I hope someone can chime in here. I've been scratching my head on this for a while.

Pm'd u back....btw my body guy didn't rivet or fiberglass the rear fenders on...he used panel bond (it's a 2 part epoxy used in alot of manufacturing for new cars to hold the panels together) much stronger than fiberglass. and no need to drill holes.
here's a pic

tictakman 07-11-08 05:45 PM

Click on pics to see a better image.... the rear are not the "burnout" flares, it was a honda fender cut to fit.

I could lower the car another 1 1/2" but i wouldnt be able to get out of the driveway. Currently, the cars front bumper sits 4" from the ground.
