For those of you who've had them on for awhile, I'm curious to know how well they hold paint and resist chipping. Quite honestly, I've resisted switching from my stock front end since most of the aftermarket noses that I've seen seem to chip pretty easily, however the stock urethane and original 99 spec urethane bumpers seem to hold paint a little better. Is this mainly due to the quality of the material (urethane), or the shop that preps and paints?

I love Ken's products and I run several on my car, so no disrespect intended here. Just curious for opinions.

Thx everyone!

My paints holding up pretty well, though I do have a chip, but I just put some touch up paint to it. I drive my car almost everyday, so I'm bound to get hit up by rocks...

Glasurit clear coat does the job for me. Best of the best in terms of clear coat. We use glasurit on almost all of the cars we paint. Never had a need to 3m bra and I drive my rx7 quite often.
Don't go cheap on the clear coat!

I have the new version of the bumper painted on my car. The new stance makes a big difference in person and having talked with a few people at 7 stock, they noticed it as well (I believe there was a car with the original Feed bumper at 7 stock as well.)

New product:

Lower bumper protector specifically designed for the FEED Type II R bumper. 2 pieces ( 1 pieces bolted to the bottom of the bumper on each side.) These are made with 2 layers of carbon or Kevlar on each side to help absorb daily driving mishaps. Works perfectly for me so far as I do not have to worry about scraping the paint off my bumper (my car sits pretty low)

Carbon $125 per pair

Kevlar $150 per pair

well ill tell you this it has nothing to do with the quality of paint that protects you from chips on the front bumper from everyday driving.... the amount of clear coat only protects you for so long. a chip is a chip. reguardless if it hits color ir its just the clear coat it shows the same and it still cost the same to fix but if you use the clear kick pannel covering and cut it to fit your bumber you can keep the color and if it chips you just hit it with a heat gun or a good hair dryer and take it off and replace it...... you can get it at any local o'reilly's or sturdevant

NICE! Good execution. Must've taken you awhile to find those wheels .

For reference: all of the new bumpers we sell are the new revised version. You can't tell if you don't know what you're looking for, but trust me... its a better version
