shineautoproject 02-16-07 02:10 PM

No more group buys. Since you are in Pomona, you can come pick up if you like. I believe we might not have anymore in stock. We would have to make one for you.

How well the rear fenders were molded, as i have the same set but curious to see how they look mounted flush. Yours look pretty damn good though, nice job :icon_tup:

Dorifto_PG 05-22-07 11:30 AM

Hahaha no way man its a drift car, they aren't molded! I trimmed them to fit real nice made all the lines straight and line up where they want to be, and riveted the fenders on. Then painted the car, cause silver rivets on a red car=:icon_tdow

cool_as_crap 05-22-07 11:33 AM

oh damn, i can't even see the rivets, and it all looks molded except for the back part that goes around the taillights lol

chnsx7 06-28-07 10:32 AM

ur fc

hey bro, awsome work on your FC

are you rocking the haragushi style?
haha

anyways

i noticed u drilled holes on the edge of the bumper/side skirts specifically to zip tie them onto the car?

how durable is it?

it looks pretty close to the edge of the bumper/skirt

rogrx7 07-26-07 10:18 PM

Are these still being sold

shineautoproject 07-27-07 03:53 PM

yes indeed they are. PM'd.

danegerous 08-09-07 06:08 PM

could you run your stock tmic for awhile with this hood or is it absoultley necessary to run fmic from the get go?

Dorifto_PG 08-29-07 04:20 PM

Pics of Shine hood in action!!!

As for the durability of the zipties: i didn't wreck or anything, but look how low my car is and not once during the day did my aero come off. Even a couple of times backing it into the dirt pretty fast off course.

gxlbiscuit 09-04-07 08:11 PM

what are under hood temps on your car? and to ken (i believe thats the shine rep) can i buy a shine hood in the next month or two?

re-rx7 09-05-07 05:47 PM

hey man are your hhods still for sale i would like one!!

danegerous 09-06-07 05:30 PM

Im a retard with that question I asked up there haha my bad. I'm interested in the underhood temps aswell, it'd be neat to see where the car ran with a v mount and front mount set up

Dorifto_PG 09-06-07 09:01 PM

Underhood temps with V-mount and Shine hood were pegged right at -30*C. If you got too close, instant frostbite.

Maybe we can start a second GB, since I will be in the market for a hood too!

Shine, would that be possible, if so how many people do we need to make it happen?

ilia 09-27-07 12:52 PM

I'm far too broke for any kind of group buy. :( I just meant to say that it's nice, and I'd love to have it.

shineautoproject 11-07-07 05:23 PM

Shipping for the hood is $125.

No group buys at the moment. Our production team is very busy at the moment. A group buy will be too overwhelming. We have no hoods in stock. These are all made to order at this point. $475 for FRP.

Let me know if you guys have any further questions.

Ken

Ken,

Can they be made in CF? If so how much?

shineautoproject 11-25-07 12:39 AM

We've made them in CF before. I believe we can do a CF version for $750.

Also, this will work with your top mount.

More use... more hood:

Also, my hood flipped up and smashed my winshield late in the day (friend forgot my hood pins). So uh... now I need to do a little bit of repair. But considering the damage to the glass, the FRP is REALLY strong. And flexible too. It's still together, minus some minor chips and cracks.

WE3RX7 11-29-07 09:08 PM

Good photos...

The hood's style is growing on me, but I'd have to do it in CF...

shineautoproject 11-30-07 04:08 PM

We've done it in CF before. :)

Can I come out and pic out up? I am trying to finish my FMIC/turbo swap by JAn.

puhpaper 12-07-07 04:35 PM
