Honestly, to replicate the headlight bucket should be pretty easy if it is what i think it is.

The lights will be very difficult to find. They use the same lights that are RE-Amemiya lights which cannot be easily sourced. I believe they are IPF lights and the size used is very hard to to come by. Alternative sources dont even come close .

How much would just the buckets be then? How many people do you need?

Thanks for getting back to us shine.

well can u source the lights like get ahold of east bear or REA, eventhough u say its hard which i do not doubt cause it would be easier to sell them as a package.

We tried sourcing the lights for our FC2000 bumper with no luck. Raceonusa definitely cannot get them. Ive discussed this with them before.

Well maybe you can make a copy of the shell and then maybe modify to fit something slightly larger?

Also, you could go the other way, using a projector assembly. Smaller would look cleaner.

personally, look at the site pic a set that you think would work and, make the headlight pods so they fit the style you pic and then work that mold and sell it cause more would be willing to buy as a complete kit instead of just the pod holder.

I was going to use Hella driving lights (the H71020051 ones) for easy adjustability. A metal bracket will be moulded in to rear of buckets with the bracket from the light tacked onto it. This will give you full up and down mobility for aiming. Actually if you bolted the lights onto the bucket bar, you could use washers to give you side to side mobility as well. 25 dollars per dot approved driving light. A drunken irishman can't beat that.

Why not get some 240sx projector lights on ebay and modify them, has anyone tried this? They have similar shapes, i'm gonna try it when I get some extra money if these lights don't go through.

This thread is about replicating the eastbear headlight kit which is why you put your name on the list to get enough demand for SHINE to possibly make them if you want the lights then source them. If your concerned about not getting lights then dont worry bout posting in this thread it's really simple.

Plus re-working the 240 molds is the dumbest thing iv'e heard of when we have a perfect mold that just needs to be replicated that will also involve the least ammount of work that SHINE has to do so they can continue with other projects.

Like Ken already said Raceonusa cannot get the lights so either your in this for the prjector mold or your not.

240 sx headlights are abs plastic everywhere i have looked. I could not find them at all in fiberglass and gave up a few months ago. That is another option though if no mould is available. Modding them to fit the fc, then taking a mould off of them.

Hopefully shine can dig up an eastbear kit, make a mould, then just start selling them 2 ways.................expensive w/lights, 0R cheap(er) with just the buckets.

piaa600s are $400 apiece x4 (total in my luce engine swap). I will not be going that route at all. Just the fiberglass buckets are all i need.
