Things to See @ SS14
We hope you all are getting excited about SS-14... we wanted to give you a little preview of what one might see this year.. what about a 12 ROTOR motor!!

I also hear that one of the top vendors in RE community might be showing their prototype 5.5 pound cast titanium/aluminum/steel rotors!!

well.... Its 3 am wednesday and I'm still working on the engine trying to get it ready for seven stock... Thanks James from pittsburgh ( not sure what he goes by on here) he was here helping me all day today but im not sure Im going to finish it in time to haul it all the way out there. I have worked on it all day and night for the last couple weeks and if i dont go to sleep for the next day I may finish it but then I would have to drive all the way to LA from missouri with no sleep.. this is why I was asking if anyone was going through here on there way? maybe they could drive and I could sleep? If I finish the engine in time I would still have to make a stand to put it on also.. So I'm trying still but I may not make it. I need to decide if I dont finish it but bring it out there anyway, or stay here and keep working on it and have it running this weekend?
here is a pic of the point Im at with the engine.. its pretty much together, the rotors and seals and sleves cranks stationary gears ect. are all in it. 56 tension bolts are torqued down, gear box is on and timed. intake and exhaust are sitting on it but not tight I dont have the intake gasket yet. and we made a change to my front bearing caps so im machining them right now, and just finished the rear output flange for the flywheel to bolt to. I was machining the balancer hubs and messed up and made them .001 over size instead of -.001 undersize to press on so now they are loose with no way to fix them. I think lack of sleep is making me make mistakes..

^ What he said. Bring the engine unfinished and get some sleep. We don't want any accidents as you're driving out here. Just promise to bring the finished engine next year!

BYC,
wish I knew about your need before today I am stationed at Ft Riley but get up to Kansas City every weekend. I will make contact with you if you are at SS but I will also make a time to come see you in Joplin. Bern can vouch for me and my rotary credentials.

12 rotor engine is in the back of the truck and we just pulled onto the interstate heading to sevenstock. Should be there Friday morning... Unless we stop at las Vegas and go to pawn stars and try to pawn this thing....
