An actual track event for those wanting to hear some good stuff! Antelope valley fairgrounds is located in lancaster ca, straight shot for vegas guys, closer to nor-cal guys, right off the freeway, hotels not even 3 min away. No reason why you guys shouldn't at least consider it being out here. Close to willow springs international raceway as well =-)

I agree Bern anywhere that will allow us to

1-fire up our cars and rev freely my car was in display and i went to move it 5 feet and got blasted because i turned it on
.
2-Add a auto-x/drifting event just think about the revenue if you are going to participate on the event you must pre pay like speed ventures etc......

That way you can get the funds to provide emergency crew, insurance, and organizers.

3-and more FOOOD!!!! OPTIONS!!!!!
Man i was pissed when the lady said $12 for a hotdog and medium soda.

4-if the fairplex will allow us to use their facility again maybe get it closer to the open parking lots .More parking and space I know 15 cars that got stuck in traffic and coulnt make it and got stuck outside. The only crappy side of it is cover but it will be in late october so its all good

5-I am done ranting

Yea oct sounds good plenty of time to get ready and also the weather will be alot cooler.
I also didn't agree with any of the rules that the fairplex had set.
A rotary motor was meant to be rev I mean its an awesome sound why hide it right.
But as a rotary enthusiast ill be happy that we just have a place for us to meet and share our knowledge.

BMW has their event at the rosebowl. That'd be pretty cool if we could set up something like that as well lol. They set it up outside on the grass, free to move around your car and rev all you want with no problems. Also Pasadena is pretty close to the 210, 605, 5, 15, 2, and 10 freeways.

I liked having SS14 in late October last year, the weather was pretty nice for Pomona. I think the 20th might be better since it would be less likely to interfere with Halloween parties. I thought the Fairplex Pomona location was pretty nice, there was more shade than at previous years and it was nice to have some of the cars inside the building.

I'd definitely be interested in participating in an autocross event. Although drifting is more entertaining to watch from a spectator's point of view, it seems there's a better chance of damaged cars.

A ProSolo autocross race might be fun for both racers and spectators, two cars run on mirrored autocross courses with a drag-race style start. Jeff Kiesel's green rotary-powered racecar was at the Racing Beat booth last year, here it is running a ProSolo event: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyemP...hannel&list=UL , the first part is waiting for the cars to stage and the action starts around 1:00.

Great video...I wasn't able to attend last year's event since the date was kinda set at the last minute...(understandable). Hopefully this is the year I make it out to Cali for the first time.

Thanks for all the patience so far, hang in there, we're hard at work on finalizing SS-15 plans and will have something to announce very soon...

Trust me, it'll all be worth the wait.

pics of Antelope Valley Fairgrounds.. and the drift event my buddy mickie put on. I helped them all set up.... there was about 6 times the space we used.. covered parking.. indoor parking.. you name it.. AV fair had it..

pics

behind is the grand stands.. you can't see much but it's just a hell of a good place to put on a big event like this of any sorts. Theres WAYYY more room than we'd ever need.. and vendors/food/drinks/beer/etc.. Seems perfect to me.. I'll see if i can find the layout of the actual fairgrounds..
found it

How about "Temps in the mid 70's, hordes of spectators, and no dust?"

Just sayin'. Trying to run a car show in the middle of a desert strikes me as kinda suboptimal.

That said, so long as we HAVE one, I'm stoked.
